Sermon Series: Not My Own

Not My Own: Week #2 -Stewarding Our Skills (Clay Harrington)

October 4, 2026 / Clay Harrington

Most people hear the word "stewardship" and immediately think: money. Church finances. Tithing. Maybe they flinch a little. But biblical stewardship is so much bigger than that. It covers everything God has entrusted to us — our bodies, our time, our relationships, our finances, and this week: our skills, talents, and abilities.

Not My Own is a series about what it means to live as a steward rather than an owner. The earth is the Lord's and everything in it (Psalm 24:1). That includes the gifts He put in you.

In Week 2, Clay Harrington takes us to Matthew 25:14-30 — the Parable of the Talents — one of Jesus’ most direct teachings on what God expects us to do with what He’s given us.
