Who is Budget Coaching for?
Budget Coaching is for anyone—whether you are looking to get out of debt, save for the future, or simply want to be a better steward of the resources God has given you. You do not need to be a member of Vineyard Cincinnati to participate; this ministry is open to everyone in our community.
Is there really no cost for this program?
Correct. Budget Coaching is a free ministry of Vineyard Cincinnati. Our coaches are trained volunteers who serve because they want to see you experience financial freedom.
What exactly happens during a coaching session?
You’ll meet one-on-one with a coach who will help you look at your current income and expenses without judgment. Together, you’ll create a practical, written spending plan (a budget), set goals for debt reduction or savings, and discuss biblical principles for managing money.
How much of a time commitment is it?
Most participants meet with their coach for three to five one hour sessions. These meetings are designed to give you enough time to build a solid plan and start seeing real progress. We work with your schedule to find meeting times that work for both you and your coach.
Is my financial information kept private?
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of this ministry. We provide a safe, shame-free environment for you to work through your finances.
What do I need to bring to my first meeting?
Once you sign up, your coach will reach out with a simple list. Generally, it’s helpful to have a rough idea of your monthly income and recent expenses (like bank statements or utility bills). Don't worry if things are messy—that’s exactly why we’re here to help!
Is this the same as professional financial planning?
While our coaches are highly trained in budgeting and debt reduction, they are not licensed investment advisors or CPAs. We focus on the practical "day-to-day" management of your money and the spiritual heart behind your finances.
How can I become a Budget Coach?
We are always looking for people with a heart for stewardship and a desire to help others find financial peace! You don't need to be a math expert—you just need to be a good listener who can follow a proven process. We provide all the training you need.
